Cleo may be the next map to arrive in Apex Legends. The planet’s moon, Cleo, was destroyed when Seer was born, an event that many people still blame the all-seeing artist for, as demonstrated in a recent animated short film posted to the official Apex Twitter account earlier this week. A map out of this worldīoreas, Seer’s home planet, is the only planet in the Apex Legends universe to have an Arenas (“Encore”) map, but not a Battle Royale map. Still, there is no confirmation that the new map will appear in season 14 its debut can be planned in a future season. The same leaker that revealed the existence of Vantage and the other eight legends also revealed that a new map is in the works. The giant craters on Cleo, the potential new map (more on that in a bit), are probably the perfect sniper’s paradise, and it’s easy to see how well Vantage and Cleo could complement each other. It is likely that her mother, Xenia, is still hiding in Pàgos.Īssuming the leak about his abilities is true, Vantage’s long-range abilities would obviously work well on a map with high elevation and lots of line of sight like Kings Canyon or World’s Edge.
After a narrow escape from the ship’s vicious security system, Xiomara’s mother activated her personal distress beacon, causing Vantage to be apprehended by the authorities and eventually joined (or maybe even forced to join) the Apex Games. As a result of deciding to go against her mother’s wishes and explore the wreckage of the ship, Xiomara discovered that almost everything her mother had told her about the world and her family’s past was a lie. The ship’s name, GDS Vantage, is where the Xiomara call sign comes from. For unknown reasons, she crashed on the frozen and abandoned planet Pàgos, and the pregnant Xenia was the only survivor of the ship’s crash.

What we do know is that her full name is Xiomara Contrares and she was born to Xenia Contrares, an escaped inmate who was a passenger on a Gaean detention ship likely headed for a prison. Vantage is a skilled long-range marksman with a passion for sniper rifles. Respawn has shared some details about his personality (and his rule-breaking tendencies), but his abilities have yet to be confirmed. It was recently confirmed that the new Legend for Season 14 is Vantage, a sniper-focused Legend whose appearance and abilities were leaked along with eight other upcoming Legends back in March.
